Are you calm now Eva?

This started as a "make-peace-with-my-past-project". As a child I attended kindergarden. In my group of kids there was a girl named Eva. She was somewhat different. She didn't look different and most of the time she didn't behave diffrently than any other kid. But from time to time, for no apparent reason she got outragesly angry.   I don't remember any pattern in her behavior.   Probably because I was too young to notice or perhaps there was none. The reasons for her outrage was most likely stress related coused by broken routins; the wrong kind of food on a certain day, a toy out of place, somebody was sitting on her chair at the lunch table etc.

When she had one of her outbreaks there was only one thing that could calm her down. The caretakers would give her a roll of masking tape. She would then make a ball out of the tape. When the roll was empty and a ball out of tape was formed she was calm. Many of the children at my kindergarden, including myself tried our hardest to provoke these outbreaks.

Now, 25 years later as an adult I wanted to try Evas method of regaining calmness. However stress does not affect me in the same way as her but I was hoping the result would be the same. Maby it needs to be anger that formes the tape ball. 64 rolls of tape later I am now the proud father of a X kg tape ball and I still can't sleep.

Anyway, I dedicate this one to you Eva. I'm sorry.
